XU Guohong
Mr. Xu has a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from Princeton University in 1995, and a Bachelor in Space Physics from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 1991. Dr. XU is a fellow of the Thousand Talent Program by CCCPC since 2008.
Dr. XU is a well-respected expert internationally in mobile Internet technologies and digital television technologies. Dr. Xu is executive president of Beijing Software Association, and director of Beijing 3G Industry Alliance. Dr. XU is actively involved in public affairs, and emphasizes social responsibilities for entrepreneurs. Dr. XU is a director of Beijing Friendship Association of None-Public Ownership Economy, and an executive member of the fourth term of CCPCC ( Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference) of Shenzhen.
As a serial entrepreneur, Dr. XU founded iPanel Technologies Ltd (hereafter “iPanel”) in 2000 and elooMobile Co. Ltd. (hereafter “ElooMobile”) in 2006. iPanel is well known for its digital TV middleware solutions for digital cable TV and IPTV, and is used in about 76% of households in China, and also deployed in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Russia and other overseas markets.
ElooMobile is well known for its OpenFace application platform, which is compliant with W3C’s widget standard and China Communications Standard Association (CCSA)’s mobile widget standard. OpenFace is becoming a leading application platform in China, and a leading social network based on apps.
