Jung-hee Ryu
Jung-hee Ryu is an expert on mobile augmented reality, context-awareness and ubiquitous computing with 16 years experience in business and academia. He was a co-founder of Iconlab, Inc., and invented “InterCode” which is 2D barcode optimized for mobile camera phone scanning and de-facto standard for Korean operators. He founded Olaworks, Inc. in 2006 and worked as CEO until 2009. Now he is Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at Olaworks and leads ScanSearchTM Unit. As a creator of this mega-hit mobile augmented reality service with over 2mil users. He got his Ph.D from EECS in Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, and he was adjunct professor at Graduate School of Information and Media Management (KSIM) and Graduate School of Culture Technology (GSCT) in KAIST until 2010.
