Bruno Bensaid
In Asia since 1997, Bruno started his Asian career in the finance team of Cisco Systems in Asia-Pacifc (based in Singapore) then launched and managed the China operations of French, UK and Japanese internet and mobile VC-backed companies from 2002 till 2006 (based in Shanghai). In 2006, Bruno founded the Shanghai Chapter of MobileMonday (a non-profit mobile industry trade association) and started advising VC/PE funds as well as small and large enterprises in investment strategies in China. He became the first China employee of Ventech (a French VC overseeing more than USD 500 Mil in assets) in 2007-2008. In 2008, he created Shanghaivest, an investment bank advisory firm advising large Chinese clients on overseas expansion. Shanghaivest also advises Chinese companies in their fundraising and divestment efforts, mainly in the technology sector. Bruno is also an investor in several local startups and an active member of Angelvest, a renowned Shanghai-based angel organization. Finally, Bruno is a regular speaker and moderator at international conferences covering diverse topics from mobile, internet to M&A, Investment and cross-border transactions.
